Hot Yoga also called Bikram Yoga consists of a series of poses done in a heated space. The space is usually kept at the spicy temperature of 95 to 100 degrees. The heat helps increase flexability, and really forces the body to sweat. Creating a very intense and detoxifying yoga experience.

Bikram Choudhury, a yoga master created the style using a series of 26 yoga poses, and two pranayama exercises, each which is practiced twice in the single 90 minute session.
Choudhury, was born in 1946 in Calcutta, India and founded the Yoga College of India in Californi in 1974.

  • If you are pregrnant you should not practice this style of yoga for safety reasons
  • Bring your own yoga mat. You do not want to share a mat that is covered in sweat
  • HYDRATE, HYDRATE, HYDRATE, Drink a ton of water prior to and after the class.
  • Avoid eating for a few hours prior to the class to keep you body at ease and comfortable
