Triangle pose is known as ‘Utthita Trikonasana’ in sanskrit. This posture benefits your mental and physical equilibrium, it also eases stress and anxiety. Triangle pose strengthens your knees, hips, and core. If you suffer from migraines or high blood pressure it is best to not lift your hand over the head while performing this posture. The geometric shape of a triangle has many symbolic meanings. The three sides of a triangle represent the number three which symbolizes manifestation. The shape resembles the ancient pyramids which were also used to worship the sun.

This pose is complex for beginners, it took me a while to be able to hold it comfortably. Take your time getting into the posture, this is why I recommend taking it slow using runner’s lunge as well as Warrior 1 and 2. Become comfortable with both warriors before performing Triangle Pose. Remember it takes time to build certain muscles and strength to fully maintain any posture so just keep at it!
Sending you many manifestations and the energy of the sun through the symbolic triangle!
