The Yoga Way is a dedicated Amrit Yoga facility with nationally certified instructors. Its founding director is Mira Formisano. The center was established in 2002 and is a leading resource for yoga education in the Hudson Valley. Amrit Yoga places equal emphasis on the disciplines of hatha and raja yoga. It is a very meditative approach to working with the body and a balanced combination of activity and receptivity. Ultimately the practice of Amrit Yoga is a tool to live life more fully, freely, and purposefully. We are committed to teaching these life-transforming tools to those in search of balance, harmony, and peace. Classes offered seven days. Introductory orientation workshops are offered, as well as classes for all level students. The center also offers Yoga Nidra meditation classes, prenatal yoga, kids’ classes, and family yoga, as well as chair-assisted and chair-supported yoga. Special events include satsang, ayurvedic lectures and workshops, posture clinics, meditation, prenatal meditation, chakra meditation, and kirtan. Mira Formisano is also a senior teacher for the Amrit Yoga Institute in Salt Springs, FL, leading components of its yoga teacher certification program. She has recorded two chanting CDs, Brahmeshwara and Grace of the Guru, and has also been ordained into the Order of Melchizedek.
