Sweating is our body’s way of cooling down during physical activity. There are many reasons to sweat! It can clear skin blemishes, detox your body, and ward off illnesses. There is a myth that if you sweat it will make you break out but it is actually quite the opposite. Sweat is your body’s way of releasing toxins. It is definitely important to wash off after a sweaty workout session in order to rid those ugly toxins. The sweat is there to clear those clogged pores and wash your body clean.

Hot yoga makes you sweat, A LOT! It is important that you are drinking plenty of water before, during, and after a hot yoga class. This Western style of hot yoga is a great way to clear your skin. Notice your skin after a sweaty workout, you will see radiant, glowing skin! You can thank your sweat glands for unclogging your pores and bringing on the radiance. Make sure you give your skin a nice rinse after a hot yoga session to lock in this new and replenished skin!

Sweat is a natural detox for your body. You release more heavy metals during a sweaty workout than you would in a digestive detox. Similar to unclogging pores and leaded to healthier looking skin, you are also releasing heavy toxins through your pores. Remember, your skin is the largest organ in the body. Just as it is important to keep healthy internal organs we cannot forget that the largest and most important organ is the skin. The skin is what protects all of your internal organs.

If you ever feel like you are coming down with a cold or flu, jump on the treadmill and start running! Break a sweat to stop that cold or flu in its tracks! Your sweat protects you from illnesses. Sweating actually boosts your immunes system. Just try to drink plenty of water of course you should keep the workout moderate if you are feeling under the weather.

If you want healthier, clearer, and more radiant skin you need to sweat once a day! If you want to release heavy toxic metals from your bloodstream, sweat once a day.
