Alyssa Kapelas is the studio director and teaches daily classes in Kundalini Yoga and vinyasa yoga at Prana Mandir Yoga Studio in NYC.Formerly an executive in the publishing industry, Alyssa is now devoted to bringing the power of yoga and healing to others. In private sessions, her clients have said that after a session they feel like they spent an afternoon at the spa after a morning session with their therapist! Alyssa uses the power of Kundalini Yoga, kriyas, and meditation, combined with prana and sound vibration (mantra) to heal the whole person. One-on-one yoga sessions are open -hearted and warm, and meet you exactly where you are–both physically and emotionally. Private yoga sessions can be in your home or in the studio.In a group setting, Alyssa's classes are challenging and uplifting, focusing on becoming aware of your spiritual nature and how this applies to your daily life. Classes are fun, compassionate, and energizing.Alyssa Kapelas has been studying and practicing yoga for nine years and believes the power of yoga–with the union of the mind using mantra, the body using physical asana, and the soul using pranayama–is a clear and blissful path to living a balanced, happy, and inspired life. She believes, and has learned through her personal experience, that yoga and meditation can heal the physical and emotional body, and is humbled daily by the power of a steady sadhana.
