Full Moon Yoga & Meditation Retreat to Bali March 28th – April 7th, 2011

Join Yoga Teacher, Danae Robinett of San Francisco, on her third visit to the magical island of Bali. A beautiful island rich in ceremony, tradition and devotion a most remarkable place to journey deep into the wondrous spirit of Yoga.

Danae teaches Hatha Yoga whereby we salute the sun with an energizing and invigorating practice including pranayama and meditation. She also teaches Restorative Yoga, Yin Yoga and Yoga Nidra. In Restorative Yoga the use of props allow for extended holds in asana allowing for true surrender and release. Yin Yoga is a passive/active practice working with the connective tissue holding a posture for 1 to 5 minutes. Yoga Nidra is a guided visualization which is deeply relaxing and highly rejuvenating. Breath is essential in Yoga to support the body as it moves through Asana with grace as well as keeping the body internally heated. In her Yoga classes Danae fosters a nurturing environment whereby students realize their true potential in the art of trying and taking the risk! What we learn on our mats automatically translates into the other areas of our lives resulting in transformational effects. Danae’s classes are fun yet she still honors the sacredness of Yoga…laughter is essential and for some of the seemingly harder poses she often suggests how requisite it is to smile during the pose…this brings down everyone’s guard, releases any competitive thoughts with oneself or others in the space and allows for JOY to flow easily! Danae encourages her students to find their authentic self in Yoga and beyond–to always lead with the heart and realize there is no judgment in Yoga!

The Island of Bali with its varied landscape of rugged coastlines, terraced rice fields, temples, mountains, and volcanoes and its colorful and deeply spiritual culture and artistic roots will provide a magical backdrop for this very special Yoga Retreat on the “Island of The Gods.”
