Bushido Studios offers semiprivate and private yoga lessons for people with all levels of experience. Semiprivate classes are managed carefully to not exceed 10 students at a time. That way, each student gets the individual attention needed to have a fulfilling yoga experience. This also helps minimize the risk of injury due to improper positioning in various poses. We offer three types of classes. First, our weekly alignment-based hatha yoga classes incorporate elements of Anusara, Iyengar, and Kripalu. Each week, the classes are focused around a central theme (e.g., anatomical focus, breathing, meditation, backbends, forward bends, inversions, etc.), so as to add variety to our exploration of yoga and our bodies. Secondly, our weekly prenatal yoga classes are geared for expecting moms in their second and third trimester. Previous yoga experience is not required for participation in this class. (Postnatal, mommy and me classes will be coming to our schedule soon!) Finally, our Saturday Series workshops are conducted periodically throughout the semester to delve deeper into the many ways that yoga can and should be incorporated into our everyday lives. Past workshops topics have included Ayurveda, Yoga for Stress Relief, Yoga for Discipline, and Yoga for Desk Jockeys. Private yoga lessons are available for students looking to explore the therapeutic application of yoga for relief from physical pain or common aliments. References are available upon request. The yoga program at Bushido Studios offers an opportunity to gain strength and flexibility in an environment that is conducive to relaxation.
