Birchwood Center offers a full schedule of yoga classes, held seven days a week, in two immaculate, sunlit studios with views of the Hudson River. The Center offers private and semiprivate sessions and individually designed programs for persons wishing to advance their yoga practice or focus on a particular issue. Committed to promoting regular yoga practice as a tool for conscious, healthful living, Birchwood Center’s teachers are chosen for their unique approach and their ability to inspire students at all levels of experience. Classes include hatha, vinyasa, restorative, kundalini, pre-/postnatal, kids’, seniors’, meditation, kirtan, Moving Mantras. Special workshops are offered monthly. Birchwood Center also houses a sanctuary for healing massage offered in two serene treatment rooms. Therapists are NYS-licensed and draw from an extensive repertoire of massage techniques and a belief in the healing power of touch to address each client’s special needs. Yoga teacher trainings, registered with Yoga Alliance, are intense programs for aspiring teachers and those who wish to deepen their experience of yoga. Graduating students who successfully meet all requirements will receive a 200- or 500-hour certification. The goal of Birchwood Center’s teacher training programs is to produce quality yoga teachers who are creative in their practice and dedicated to the practice and understanding of yoga as a way of life.
